A fun-filled Saturday - Part 2: Rachel's birthday

We thought the kids will knock out as soon as we reached home but we were wrong. They seem to have endless supply of energy. We were heading to Rachel's first birthday as soon as they had their their nap. Despite staying so close to Rachel, we had to miss her cake cutting session. (Sorry! Rach). As we were leaving Rachel's place, we've discovered a very colorful, interesting playground. We've spent an amazing 20mins @ the playground. The kids had so much fun while Kel & I kept snapping pics of those happy moment. The day finally ended at AMK Hub where we caught sight of Thomas & Friends performance. We look forward to more activities next week! :P

Settling down

i love you, keigan ge ge

There was plenty to do/achieve last Saturday. We had a date (long planned) with Keigan, Siera & Kelvin. The weather was perfect for outdoor activities. We arrived Botanic Garden as early as 8.30am. For the very first time, Megan & Ian get to feed the fishes in the pond with the generous supply of bread from the Yap family. As soon as that was done, we headed back to our breakfast spread. Thanks to Siera, who woke up as early as 6am to prepare those yummy sandwiches, our stomach were quickly filled with great satisfaction. We began our walk to the children's playground as we packed away our picnic mat. Little did we realised, the playground was located about 20mins (maybe more) away from where we were. By the time we've arrived, we were perspiring like there's no tomorrow. Despite that, our kids had so much reserve energy that they were already running around, exploring every corner of the place. We have to admit our sweat is all worthwhile when we looked at those happy face! :)

Finally, the day has arrived. An evening at Sentosa with Aunty Jooe & Kai Lun ge ge. Jojo has been wanting to take the kids to "Hai Zhi Song" aka Song of the Seas for a long time. Because we were a little early for Sentosa, we took the kids to Marina Square to watch Barney. Ian was glued to Barney while Megan lost interest after 15mins or so. We bumped into Arielle. Megan was delighted to see her friend & gave Arielle a big hug! And did Ian enjoyed the Song of the Seas? Not really. And jojo was really disappointed. Maybe when he is a little older, he will appreciate the show better. We still owe jojo a BIG thank YOU for spending the evening with the kids!

The weather today was gorgeous. A little sun accompanied with gusts of wind. It will be a pity to stay indoor. Daddy suggested Punggol beach but the wind was too much for the children. We took a detour to the playground @ Sengkang. It was a simple enough playground but the kids truely enjoyed ourselves with the climbing & runnning. After a 2hr nap, the energy level in the house was high again. Another suggestion by Daddy and we were on our way to the pool. It was Megan's first swim & she had a terrific time. Our little girl love the water! On the other hand, Ian wasn't that keen. He had a frightful 3sec "head in the water" experience. Despite that, we are determined to fight that fear by making more trips to the pool in the near future. The day ended with a few rides & muach @ our all time favorite pasa malam. Can't wait for next weekend to come.
